Websites
I design and build fast, responsive websites for businesses that need more than an off-the-shelf template. From marketing sites to content-driven platforms, I focus on clean implementation, performance, accessibility and maintainability.
Web Applications
From idea to production, I design and build full-stack applications around the needs of the business. That includes application architecture, backend APIs, data modelling, integrations, authentication and the user-facing experience — with an emphasis on maintainability and reliable production operation.
Databases
Good software depends on good data design. I design relational database schemas, optimise queries and data access patterns, and modernise existing database-backed applications where performance or maintainability has become a problem. My commercial experience is strongest with SQL-based systems, particularly SQL Server.
AI Integration
I help businesses explore and integrate practical AI capabilities into existing software, including large language model APIs, intelligent automation and data processing workflows. The focus is on identifying where AI genuinely adds value and integrating it cleanly into the wider application rather than adding AI for its own sake.

Recruitment Dashboard
Built an internal pipeline dashboard for a recruitment company to track candidates from the moment they apply through to their first day on the job. Gave the team full visibility over every stage of the process — no more chasing spreadsheets or missing candidates falling through the cracks. Streamlined handoffs between teams and improved time-to-placement.
Utilisation Dashboard
Built an internal utilisation dashboard for a recruitment company to replace an increasingly unmanageable spreadsheet system. The platform gives operations teams a real-time view of their entire worker pool — availability, placement status, and scheduling — all in one place. Reduced admin overhead and the margin for human error.
QR Code Ordering System
Built a QR code-based ordering system for a driving range, allowing customers to order food and drinks directly from their bay via their phone. Customers scan a bay-specific code, browse the menu, and place their order — no app download required. Integrated with Square for secure payment processing, with a live order dashboard for kitchen staff.
OmniMesh
Designed and built the public web presence for OmniMesh, a UK-based secure transport start-up. The brief was to communicate a highly technical product to both engineering and executive audiences — the result is a clean, premium, authoritative site that positions the brand squarely alongside enterprise security players.

About Daniel
I'm a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead with more than 10 years of commercial experience designing, building and supporting production software.
I spent nearly a decade working on business-critical applications within the recruitment sector, taking on increasing responsibility for architecture, technical decision-making and delivery before moving into independent consulting in 2025.
Today I work directly with businesses and startups on software projects while completing a BSc in Computer Science at the University of London, specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
My strongest commercial background is in C#, .NET and SQL, although I work across the wider stack where a project requires it.
I'm also open to selected Senior Software Engineer, Lead Developer and Technical Lead contract opportunities.
